About

I am Elissavet, an Information Technology Professional and Senior Full-Stack Web Developer currently serving the 6th Regional Health Directorate at the Greek Ministry of Health.

My journey in the digital space began in 1999, and I have dedicated my career to web architecture and database design since 2003. I specialize in transforming complex systemic challenges into elegant, accessible solutions. For me, development is about bridging the gap between back-end logic and front-end usability, applying both meticulous attention to detail and a refined aesthetic touch.

I firmly believe that thriving in this industry requires a commitment to continuous growth. Having graduated near the top of my class with a degree in Applied Informatics, I am now in the final semester of my M.Sc. in Smart ICT at the University of the Peloponnese. I treat this academic journey as an engaging, pressure-free sandbox where I can explore emerging technologies and data science at my own pace, completely decoupled from the demands of my daily professional work.

I invite you to explore my GitHub Profile to see my open-source projects showcase, read through my extended Professional Profile, or browse the technical articles right here in my digital garden.

Beyond the Code

For my non-Greek readers, my name is the Greek equivalent of Elizabeth, pronounced ell-ee-sAA-vet. It stems from the Ancient Greek Ἐλισάβετ (Elisávet), a transliteration of the Biblical Hebrew אֱלִישֶׁבַע (Elisheva, “my God is an oath”).

Away from the screen, I find balance through creative, tactile pursuits. Alongside a longstanding interest in science fiction and technology, I’m an avid crocheter. I appreciate how fiber arts require the same structural planning, patience, and pattern recognition as writing clean code—offering a grounding counterpoint to software engineering.

Currently, I reside in Patras, but I hail from the picturesque mountain town of Karpenissi. I carry the tranquility of my hometown with me—a place where the stars twinkled brightly on clear nights, the breezes carried the scent of Alpine freshness and new snow, and breathtaking views of the Milky Way made summer nights unforgettable.

These roots, combined with a lifelong dedication to creation, continue to shape my approach to both my digital craft and the physical world.
